Investment Committee

Investment decisions and control on the operations are the main tasks of the Investment Committee. All investment and disinvestment decisions are taken at unanimity of its present members (with quorum set at 75% of its members).
 
Michel GUILLET - Chairman

Michel is currently a Director of “Investisseur & Partenaire pour le Développement” and sits on several boards of major European companies.
After five years as Consultant for Arthur D. Little, he became in 1976 Executive Officer at Institut de Développement Industriel, then Managing Director of Lohr SA and finally chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Collectivités Commerce between 1984 and 1987.

In 1987, he became Managing Partner and one of the four founders of BC-Partners. With 45 professionals in 5 offices (London, Paris, Milan, Hamburg and Geneva), BC-Partners is a leading European Private Equity Fund manager. The BC European Capital 8 Fund, issued in 2005, amounts to 5.5 billion Euros. As such, Michel initiated and participated in a number of the largest deals in Europe in the last twenty years.
He also chairs the board of I&P Management (Indian Ocean) Ltd.

Patrice HOPPENOT

Patrice is the founder and current Chairman of “Investisseur et Partenaire pour le Développement”, one of the founders/promoters of I&P Capital (Indian Ocean) Ltd.

Before becoming an Executive Officer at Institut de Développement Industriel in 1975, he had been a Financial controller at Amora (Generale Alimentaire) for five years. In 1977, he took the responsibility of Finance Director of the pharmaceutical division of Clin Midy and then in 1981 became Deputy General Manager of Midial.

After 3 years as the Chief Executive Officer of Geladour (with sales of 100 millions USD), he co-founded and became a Managing Director of BC-Partners. Together with Michel Guillet, he has led the extraordinary growth of this European independent financial advisor.

Amyne ISMAIL

Amyne Ismail is the Managing Director of UNIMA, a Malagasy-based group of 15 companies in Madagascar and in Europe specialised in high-quality shrimp fishing and breeding: Les Pêcheries de Nossi-Bé, Aqualma, Aquamen-Pêche, etc. The activities of UNIMA cover all stages from fishing to commercialization in Europe and Asia. Unima employs more than 3,000 people and is one of the world leaders in the high-quality shrimp market.

Amyne Ismail has held different positions in Madagascar and Europe within UNIMA between 1988 to 1998. Prior to joining UNIMA, he was a financial analyst of the Banque Française du Commerce Extérieur (BFCE) - New York in 1988.

Amyne Ismail completed his higher studies at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC).
